Borobudur Temple and A Postponed Sunday

It is the first time I visit Borobudur by my own intention lol. And this time is kinda special because Borobudur was so empty and sunny *well, it’s more like so hot* we only took like 2 hours walk around and up to the temple, and we feel tired already, I mean the heat…ufff

Borobudur Temple

We were going from Yogyakarta to Borobudur by motorcycle for 1.5hr ride. And to be concerned, motorcycle can’t park inside the area but has to be parked in parking area outside that is managed by local people. But don’t worry, it only cost 3000 IDR. And for the entrance ticket, for us local tourist it costs 30000 IDR and for international tourist is 135000 IDR.

For you who don’t want to ride by yo self, you can take public bus or get into some travel agent ride you there. You can also catch for the beautifully majestic sunrise or sunset here, but most of people go for sunrise since Borobudur open only form 6am-5pm, so it’s kinda hard to get sunset. Most people who go for sunrise travel from Yogyakarta at 4am. Or if you can’t wake up that early, you can also stay in hotel around.
