Lunpia
Lunpia is exactly the same as Lumpia. It’s
typical south east Asian food, you can find it as well in Philippine. The differences
with this Lunpia Semarang are first, the taste, very very sweet filled with
bamboo shoot, chicken, eggs and shrimp. Second, the price. It’s more expensive
here than in Yogya =)) it’s IDR 11000 for each.
Bandeng Presto
Bandeng a.k.a milkfish that is cooked with
high pressure to make the “Presto” which is all bone of this fish become so
soft you can eat all. It also tastes salty. You need to fry this milkfish
before you eat it but the shop also provides full cooked that ready to eat that
time. There are vacuumed Bandeng Presto which may stay for 2 months or the
original (non vacuumed) only stay for 2 days. I bought two vacuumed Bandeng
Presto for IDR 45000

Soto Bangkong
No different with the normal Soto Ayam
(Chicken Soto, Indonesian food). Soto Bangkong was first out in 1950s so I think
that its legendary that boosts its popularity. There are several side dishes
like Sate, Perkedel (mashed fried potato), or tempe (soy cake). It costs IDR
14000 for each Soto Bangkong.
