Ramadan in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia [Part VI] - Vacation in Madinah City

Friday, August 29, 2014

Not gonna tell too much in this post, but some spots of tourism *I guess* since we only had like 20 minutes for each spot.

My Mother and I, at Jabal Uhud

The first place we visited was Mosque Quba. This is the first ever mosque, located in Madinah *ever since the first instruction to pray Sholat was commanded here*. Once you visit this place, do 2 raka'ats prayer, because the reward of shalat in this mosque is equal with one time Umra.

Next destination was dates field and market. I'm telling you, this place is not a good option to shop. Even here actually you can pay with Rupiah, Ringgit, Dollar etc but the price here -and almost all shops in Madinah- mostly 2times more expensive than in Makkah. So if you need to save more, consider smart buying. Do bargain *it might help lowering the price a bit*

Next was Jabal Uhud, jabal means mount. So this place is stone mountain, in a part of this mount there's a famous and very strategic spot where 200 archers commanded by Rasulullah Muhammad PBUH took place on Uhud war. This spot was so strategis that almost all enemy was shot down and Muslim almost win. But because these archers didn't obey what Rasulullah said, to stay on that spot whatever happen, but they were going down for the treasure of the enemy instead, then other party took over the spot and kill (shoot) almost all Muslim archers and Muslim lost to this war.

Jabal Uhud

that spot where people were standing, was the spot of 200 archers.

We're supposed to visit Qiblatain Mosque but due to the heat, it was sadly canceled.
